Students of Uganda Christian University (UCU) Mukono have resorted to use twitter to influence the next location of the popular Café Javas.
The students have created a hashtag #CafeJavasInMukono where they participated in a vote for where the next suitable location is.
The debate started with a single tweet where one of the tweeps tweeted the need for a cinema in a Mukono and a response from @owomunshozi commenting that Café Javas too was needed tagging the official Javas page in a tweet.
@cafejavas_ug in response asked tweeps to vote between Mukono, Kabalagala and Bugolobi.

By the end of the vote (after 24 hours), Mukono was in the lead with a percentage of 51 trailed by Bugolobi at 31.
Tweeps are not yet certain whether Javas is actually serious about the vote but Mukono tweeps are excited about the possibility of a Café Javas near UCU. The tweeps have expressed their excitement through the above hashtag. The assurance is that Javas is considering the option.
“I bet it’s going to be declared a public holiday in Mukono now that they have a #CafeJavasInMukono” reads some of the excited tweets and others asking for influencer benefits for influencing the choice for Javas.
