Uganda Christian University (UCU) will conduct the September intake online after being given permission to carry on with their Distance/ e-Learning programme by the National Council for Higher Education (NCHE).

The University’s efforts to conduct online distance learning were blocked in March when the President of Uganda, Yoweri Kaguta Museveni ordered the University to desist from exercising online examinations and other academic institutions across the country to put all academic engagements on hold.

Since then, the University has been having negotiations with the National Council for Higher Education over a way forward and finally, they have come to an understanding.

However, applications for the September intake are still on going via the online platforms of the University. The Corona Virus pandemic has seriously affected the academic schedule of Uganda Christian University and it remains to be seen how the administration will organize the academic schedule moving forward.
