Uganda Christian University (UCU) following it’s recent closure and online examination cancellation has set into motion a series of webinars, the first of it’s kind with the initial episode premiering this Friday the 19th of June 2020 aimed at discussing and informing higher education stakeholders and regulators of the emerging global trends in higher education in light of COVID-19.
The topic under discussion will be “Making sense out of the crisis: Re-purposing Higher Learning in the wake of a crisis.” With the discussion point being the role of regulation (law) in promoting innovation in the higher education sector
This webinar will include a immerse selection of panelists amongst whom will include Rev. Canon. Dr. John Senyonyi the Vice chancellor, Dr. Roselyn Karugonjo-Segawa the Dean Faculty of Law, Prof. Mwenda Ntarangwi CEO commission for University Education, Kenya and moderated by Mr. Robert Kabushenga CEO Vision group Uganda.
Much as this might be a bid by the University to remain relevant in the eyes of its various stakeholders, call it the last kick of a dying horse. Students are still advised to log into the conference as it might be more beneficial than the Netflix catalog all while consuming the same vast amount of data.
