Defending champions Uganda Martyrs University Nkozi secured their second win in the 11th edition of the University Football League.
Nkozi registered a 2:1 win on Thursday in their second game of the league played against University of Kisubi. The win leaves Nkozi at the top of its group.
Ssentongo Akbar scored Nkozi’s two goals with the first being scored only 14 minutes into the game while the other came in at the 34th minute.
University of Kisubi returned into the second half more energised and managed to pull one back. Musasizi Musa scored their only goal of the game in the 65th minute.
Uganda Martyrs University Nkozi tops group A having won its first two games. Nkozi first played Bugema University in its maiden game of the season.
Group A is consists Kabale University, Uganda Martyrs University Nkozi, Bugema University and University of Kisubi.
