Pius Nyikirize was on Friday night declared the new guild president of Uganda Christian University. The student from the Faculty of Health Science beat two other candidates with a margin of over 400 votes.
The elections that culminated with a well supervised vote counting process that ended past midnight have considered free and fair by most students at the Mukono based Christian University. Nyikirize on Thursday night paralyzed Bugujju trading centre, Mukono, when he showed up at for guild campaigns in a Hummer.
Mutyaba De Katamba, a student congratulated Nyikirize; “Congs Brother Pius, Leadership is influence and service, I pray that as u lead others, you will demonstrate Godly character, cherish UCU Family, and walk the remaining principles in the Book of the great. Be blessed”
