The Uganda Episcopal Conference has made new changes in the management of the catholic based Uganda Martyrs University (UMU) where a new vice-chancellor was appointed and made few changes in the staff of the university.
Professor Patrick Edrin Kyamanywa was appointed as the new UMU vice chancellor to replace Prof J.C Maviiri who handed over the office in July this year.
The new changes were communicated by the directorate of Human resources on UMU media platforms.
‘’The directorate of Human Resources informs staff and students that we have received a new vice chancellor in the names of Prof. Patrick Edrin Kyamanywa. He will report at UMU on the 1st of December 2021,’’ part of the communication reads.
‘’Meanwhile, the Uganda Episcopal conference has merged positions of the deputy vice chancellor academic affairs with that of the deputy vice chancellor finance and administration. Rev.Dr. Chritopher B. Mukidi has been appointed as the new deputy vice chancellor in charge of academic affairs, finance and administration,’’ the statement reads further.
Other changes included appointing Ms. Audes Tiragana and Mr.Silvanus Ahaisibwe as the acting Registrar and Chief finance officer respectively.
