A total of 2,327 students graduated with certificates, diplomas, degrees, masters and PhDs from different courses. Out of these, 1203 were male while 1124 female.

While addressing the congregation, Maviiri expressed the concern at the laxity of the government to implement environmental laws which has led to gross destruction of the environment. He expressed disagreement with the use of kaveera and said the government has done nothing to stop its usage.
Zziwa asked the graduands to use the skills they’ve gained to transform their communities, the country and the world at large. He further urged them to be innovative and self driven in order to start up jobs instead of seeking for them.
The Guest of Honour, Apostolic Nuncio in Uganda, Archbishop Luigi Bianco during the thanksgiving mass called for the transformation of higher education to make it appropriate for the global ecological needs.
