The Uganda Police Force has announced a total of 2500 vacancies for the position of Probationer Police Constable targeting youth who are in the age range of 18 and 23.
The jobs, which are up for application up to February 18, are listed under the salary scale of U7 (about sh470,000) for the public service scale in Uganda.
Interested applicants are required to have or present the following items;
1.Must be a Ugandan citizen with a valid National ID (NIN).
2. Must have no criminal record.
3.Should be ready to undertake the requisite twelve (12) months Police Basic Training.
4. Should be physically and medically fit.
5.Should be ready to work for long hours and at times under difficult conditions.
6.Should be ready to work in any part of the country.
7.Should possess good communication skills.
8. Must not be a former or serving officer in any of the Forces.
9. Must possess a UCE certificate or its equivalent with at least four credits including English and at least a pass in Mathematics.
HOW TO APPLY
The police directs that hand written applications are addressed to the IGP, accompanied by certified copies of academic documents, photocopy of the National Identity Card, three (3) recent passport size photographs, Identity Card or Introductory letter from the previous school and recommendation letters from LCI, LCIII and RDC (from the respective districts of recruitment) in file folder should be delivered to the Police District/ Divisional Headquarters.
