As Makerere University guild campaigns come to an end, more students from various faculties continue gracing one of the most enjoyed campus events.
Yesterday, the guild campaigns and madness were staged at African Hall where candidates ranging from Stephen Bukomeko, Timothy G.K Ssambwa, Ruth Nsubuga, Zilitwawula Abdul Kareem, Lakisa, Lalican Agadi, Henry Kihika, Luwukya Emma Kizito and more others continued revealing their future plans if voted guild president come Friday 7th April.
The Energy, persistence could not let any of the fans feel the extremely hot Kasana (sunshine) that rocked Makerere yesterday evening. Some candidates were escorted by a band with huge numbers of fans both (dudes and babes) chanting their names to the maximum.
Wherever there is fun, security is expected, well, there was heavy police deployment both around the campus premises and Africa hall entrance points to curb down any chaotic activities.
Supporters were yesterday denied entrance for a period of about 30 minutes as the electoral commission finalized with venue set-up. There was a moment of struggle between police and students who tried forcing their way inside. Party continued till late even after the rally session ended. The pictures can make you feel at the venue. (All Pictures By David Mujuni)
