Universities have lately focused on the vaccination process in bid to comply with the government directive towards safe reopening.
This is in preparation for November 1 when students will be going back to campus to continue with their semester after it was cut short back in June due to the increased number of covid 19 cases among the students in different universities.
So far Makerere University Business School (MUBS), Uganda martyrs University(Nkozi) and Uganda Christian University (UCU) have started the vaccination process where the students will be required to carry the university’s ID for the first or second jab.
The universities are not only vaccinating the students but also the staff and the community members.
The vaccination is to take place at each of the respective University medical centres as more doses of the vaccine are procured.
“Let’s take this chance and get vaccinated as we prepare to open up,” said the MUBS Guild President Mr. Ogwang Apunyo.
