The 10th edition of the University football league(UFL) has now gone into the knock-out stages after draws that were held today 5th September to determine who plays who in the forthcoming quarterfinals.
The event saw a good number of sports wigs in attendance including Patrick Kanyomozi, the president of the Uganda Sports Press Association (USPA).
According to the draws, Makerere University Business School (MUBS) will play against Kyambogo University, a game that has already set the fans urgently waiting to see who goes through.
MUBS finished their group stage games on a high streak, winning all their home and away games with 18 points and 16 goals without conceding any goal.
On the other hand, Kyambogo University’s campaign was not the best in the group stages after registering seven points from 4 games.
MUBS has won this league twice, including the very first edition while Kyambogo has won this league once in 2018 after defeating Kampala University.
From the draws, defending Champions Uganda Christian University (UCU) will tussle it out with Nkumba University while Uganda Martyrs University will play against Bugema.
Two-time champion Kampala University will face St Lwarence University and that will seal the quarterfinals which will drive us to the semi-finals.
These matches are to be played between between 5th September 2022 to 14th October 2022.
