The atmosphere at the Entebbe-based University of Kisubi was merry on the evening of Tuesday 5th April, 2022 as Guild campaigns officially opened. The joyous students converged in the University main hall to listen to the manifestos of the intending candidates.
The guild presidential candidates made their breakthrough into the hall in different styles with an essence of commanding utmost valor and confidence.
Among the surprises was a female candidate named Ms. Nanyanzi Maltina Grace whose oratory skills won many hearts especially her lady counterparts.
In her manifesto, Nanyanzi promised to improve services at the infirmary, marketing the university and promoting talent.
“This is the change we need and the change we deserve,” she concluded her manifesto.
Kazibwe Henry Jerome, another guild contestant promised to hold assemblies per semester.
“I want students to get involved in decision making and with that, I am willing to conduct guild assemblies on a semester basis.” He said.
Brother Nuwagira Nicholas, another guild contestant promised to “talk with the admin to allow at least students who have paid 80% of tuition to sit for their exams.”
The open air campaigns ended with much excitement as students followed their candidates of choice in long processions.
