A 23-year-old student from Chuka University in Kenya killed himself inside his girlfriend’s rented house at Kangaru village in Embu County.
The yet to be identified deceased was reportedly found on Wednesday by the girlfriend who had only returned from a lecture at the same university. The said girlfriend then reported the lover’s death to Kangaru Police post.
Apparently, the girl left her boyfriend at her place at midday only to find him hanging from the roof of the bathroom at 3pm when she returned.
It’s alleged that the deceased was a betting addict and that this vice might have led to his death. The body of the deceased was taken to Embu Level Five Hospital Mortuary for postmortem examination.
By press time, Chuka University had not released any formal communication about the death of its student.
