The nation was struck at about 4am on Monday morning by the official announcement of Former Prime Minister John Patrick Amama Mbabazi to run for Presidency come 2016. The ex Prime Minister made his official announcement to run for Presidency via YouTube to the amazement of many. The news of Amama Mbababzi running for Presidency on the NRM ticket has made rounds allover social media with many critics coming to applaud the General for breaking the internet.
The youth that comprise of the most support for Amama Mbabazi have taken to the streets to rejoice the ‘Good News’ and Long awaited declaration.
Many students have taken to social media to express their feelings on Amama Mbabazis declaration.Also, at University Hall, Makerere Students were heavily rejoicing and many say this is the turning point for Uganda!
Mbabazi Doreen posted that “Amama Mbabazi is biologically fit to lead the country and he has a pakalast Charger”
Peter Ayikoru, a Kyambogo University first year student says; “The man is corrupt, he was involved in corruption scandals including Temangalo and CHOGM, why would I risk voting for him? An apple doesn’t fall far from the tree.”
