Uganda National Students Association (UNSA) held general elections on January 29 to inaugurate a new National Executive Committee for 2023.
The tightly contested race was won by Mbarara University of Science and Technology (MUST) Guild President Nasasira Bill Clinton.
Nasasira was declared winner and immediately sworn in to replace Welunga Yusuf, the outgoing UNSA President.
This year’s race was dominated by top student leaders from established universities across the land. These included Mirembe Rachel Sserwada (Uganda Christian University), Acuga Barbra Carolyn (Muni University), Mutabazi Elijah (St. Lawrence University), Birungi Sharifah (Islamic University in Uganda) and Nasasira Bill Clinton.
The newly selected team will make up the 33rd UNSA National Executive Committee with the following members;
UNSA is a students’ organization recognized by the act of Parliament that aims at serving all students of Uganda at post primary level of education.
