More details have emerged following the death of Dr. Hamzah Ndifuna, a Medical Superintendent at Buwenge Hospital popularly known as Kivejinja Hospital in Buwenge Town Council, Jinja district.
Campus Bee has been notified that Ndifuna was a son to Makerere University Business School Principal Professor Waiswa Balunywa’s brother. The doctor died after he collapsed while on duty.
According to a friend, the deceased slid as he was coming out of the theater, hit his head on the floor on Wednesday evening. He died as he was being rushed to Jinja Regional Hospital for medical attention.
The MUBS Public Relations officer informed Campus Bee that the deceased was Balunywa’s nephew, not his son as some reports suggested. He further informed the Bee that he has no information about the burial arrangements since it is a family matter,
“He was his nephew, a son to his brother. It is a family matter I don’t have them (details).” He said.
