Following the scanty news that trickled through earlier in the evening indicating that Hassan Alwi, the Proprietor of International University of Easy Africa (IUEA) and family was involved in a boat accident, Campus Bee has dug deep into the details and can confirm the facts below;
That it is Hassan Alwi Senior, the father to Hassan Alwi Junior (the Director of IUEA) together with his wife and children that were involved in the boat accident on Sunday evening.
That the wife of Hassan Alwi Senior and the daughter drowned but the Alwi Senior is undergoing treatment at Jinja Referal Hospital. Below is a statement from Eskom confirming the incident.
