The latest update in the Makerere university sex scandal involving a top administrator sexually abusing one of the University’s students is that detectives at Wandegeya police station have submitted two phones as exhibits to help in the investigation.
The two phones were recovered from Rachael Njoroge, the student who came out to accuse Edward Kisuze of forcefully kissing her under parts. The phones are believed to be containing implicating messages as well as photos taken by the accuser during the act.
We have been tipped that the phones were taken for forensic analysis following a directive by the Directorate of Public Prosecution (DPP) to have the messages and pictures analyzed and authenticated. According to Luke Owoyesigyire, the Kampala Metropolitan Police spokesperson, investigations are still underway as they wait for the forensic report, “We are still investigating. We are waiting for the forensic report so we can push the case forward,” says Owoyesigyire
Besides statements and pictorial evidence of the complainant, Police has allegedly failed to find any witness to support the case.
Edward Kisuze came out to trash allegations made by Njoroge, saying they had a love affair before the whole saga came out. The suspended Makerere administrator also denies that he is the person in the picture that went viral on social media involving a man on his knees kissing Njoroge’s private parts.
The MAK top don is still behind bars at Wandegeya police station as investigation in the matter continue.
