As students are clad in their red gowns, Police responded in the usual tongue: teargas! Students after their failed attempts to march out of the Main Gate, were stopped by Police in a swift shots of the white substance.
Suddenly, students were scattering allover the place, rubbing their eyes and running rather aimlessly. Canisters were seen falling inside Mary Stuart girls’ hall and spreading into the ladies’ rooms. Terrible scenario here!
After a few minutes, the boys had disappeared and police had stood back, but you could still hear demonstration chants being sang in the vicinity.
