Urban television Uganda joins the Dstv family on channel 288

Urban television today officially joined the DStv family along side its sister station TV West with an official launch conference held at the MultiChoice Uganda headquarters.

Urban TV and TV West, went live on the DStv platform on channel 288 and channel 289, respectively. This exciting partnership will enable viewers with access to DStv in various countries around the world to finally catch their favorite shows on the platform carried under Urban TV and TV west.

The General manager Of MultiChoice Uganda, Mr Charles Hamya said that the partnership is a continuous way of them supporting the development of the African television industry and with the inclusion of Urban TV and TV west shows just how serious their commitment is set to extend.

Speaking to the media, CEO of Vision Group, Robert Kabushenga stated that the partnership is meant to expose viewers to the Urban television and TV west content in quality HD thanks to DStv.

He continued: “We are confident that this relationship will endear with the markets interaction to our programming, hence changing the face of television. We are proud that our channels are on the leading digital platforms in Uganda.

Both channels boast fantastic line-up of quality local and international programming that includes news, current affairs, entertainment and sports in crystal clear digital quality. Urban TV and TV West will be available to DStv Premium, Compact Plus, Compact Family and Access subscribers on DStv channel 288 and channel 289 respectively.
