The wait seems not to be over yet for vacists dreaming day and night to join the prestigious Makerere university. There has been a link circulating on social media calling upon vacists to apply for courses at Uganda’s premier higher institution of learning; this had created a hot debate as many pondered how private admissions had been opened before the release of government sponsored student’s list as has always been the norm.
Howbeit, the office of the academic registrar has distanced itself from the admission link. Through a tweet, the academic registrar said they had not yet advertised for application to admission programmes for the academic year 2021/2022
‘Dear prospective students kindly note that we have not yet advertised for application to admission programmes for the academic year 2021/2022.’
Makerere University takes the most slots for private admissions as nearly all students apply to be part of this prestigious university.
This year seems not to be any different as vacists became excited upon seeing a link leading to an admission portal for the year 2021/2022. Campus bee has come to learn that quite a number of students had already started their application journey to a millions’ favorite university.
