Mr. Tindyebwa, in his maiden speech as Guild President, pledged to work tirelessly to ensure VUST continues on its path toward becoming one of the country’s leading Universities.

In his remarks, Mr. Boaz Tumusiime the Dean of Students expressed gratitude to the outgoing guild leadership for their dedication and service to the student community. He further commended the Electoral Commission for conducting what he described as a free and fair election.

The University Secretary, Mr. Janan Mubehamwe, challenged the new GRC to be a bridge of unity between the student body and the administration and to lead with respect, fairness and accountability.

Vice Chancellor Dr. Enos Rwasheema also addressed the gathering, calling upon political leaders to collaborate more closely with institutions of higher learning. He emphasized that universities play a vital role in stimulating growth and development in their host communities.
