Bushenyi,Uganda – The National Council for Higher Education (NCHE) has granted accreditation for several new academic programs of Valley University of Science and Technology. This significant milestone marks the introduction of advanced and specialized courses designed to meet the evolving educational needs of the community and beyond.
The newly accredited programs include:
• Master of Business Administration
• Master of Public Administration
• Master of Education Management and Leadership Science
• Bachelor of Science in Agriculture
• Bachelor of Science with Education – Agriculture
• Diploma in Public Administration
Dr. Deusdedit Byabashaija, the Academic Registrar, expressed his excitement about the new additions. “We are thrilled to receive accreditation for these programs from the NCHE. This development reflects our commitment to providing high-quality education and equipping our students with the skills necessary to excel in their respective fields. These new courses will not only enhance our academic offerings but also contribute to the socio-economic development of our region,” he said.
Before granting accreditation, the National Council for Higher Education (NCHE) conducted a thorough inspection of Valley University of Science and Technology’s facilities. Theevaluation confirmed that the University’s infrastructure, resources, and learning environments are well-suited for the introduction of the new academic programs. The NCHE’s approval highlights the VUST’s readiness to deliver high-quality education through state-of-the-art classrooms, laboratories, and support services, ensuring that students receive a comprehensive and conducive learning experience. This endorsement further solidifies Valley University’s commitment to maintaining high standards in higher education.
According to an insider, the University is also in the final stages of charter acquisition.
