Victoria University is mourning the death of senior lecturer Dr. Tom Mugizi, whose passing has left the academic community in deep grief.
In a statement released on Sunday, January 4, through the university’s official social media platforms, management announced the death of Dr. Mugizi and described it as a major loss to the institution, the academic fraternity, and the wider education sector.
Dr. Mugizi was remembered as a dedicated scholar who served the university with distinction for several years. According to the statement, he was widely respected for his depth of knowledge, calm demeanor, and unwavering commitment to academic excellence.
“Dr. Mugizi was a disciplined academic who upheld high standards of teaching while remaining approachable and supportive to students,” the university said.
