Victoria University has offered a full scholarship to a lucky curvy woman who will emerge the winner of the Miss Curvy Beauty Pageant due to take place this Friday, April 26.
According to Krishna Sharma, the vice chancellor at Victoria University, on top of that, the university has added another 75% scholarship offer for those who will finish in top 24 plus a free short course in public speaking and presentation to all the participants.
Mr Krishna said that as Victoria University they are proud to extend their support to participants because the competition teaches them to be proud of what they are contrary to some beliefs that to be beautiful before the public, you have to be pencil thin.
The Miss Curvy Uganda 2019 pageant is set to take place this week on Friday, April 26 at Imperial Royale Hotel in Kampala. The organizers have already unveiled the finalists that will be competing for the crown at the grand finale.
Anne Mungoma, the Miss Curvy Uganda Chief Executive Officer says the pageant is aimed at appreciating plus-size women who are fighting with self-esteem and are regularly despised for their big sizes.
“This pageant is to educate, inspire and impart confidence in plus sized ladies,” Mungoma said.
