A vicious war of words has broken out between city tycoon and VictoriaUniversity proprietor Sudhir Ruparelia and a one Justus Amanya. This follows the latter’s earlier posting on Facebook of Photographs taken at the former premises of CMI headquarters opposite Mulago Hospital which were taken over by Sudhir.
The photos apparently portray the fence that was put up by Sudhir as encroaching on the road reserve, and Justus calls for KCCA’s action against them.
He tagged Sudhir in these photos and the latter “mistakenly” posted on city lawyer Edgar Muvunyi’s timeline, imploring Justus to stop incessantly “tagging me for your cheap publicity.”
In response, Justus stated that he only tagged Sudhir because he believes in fairness and wanted him to give his side of the story. He further asked Sudhir to start his own version of Facebook if he’s not comfortable with this one although he laboured to add that he has nothing personal against him.
The matters took a comical turn when Justus daringly invited Sudhir to go like his page and support his cause. An incensed Sudhir replied by asking him to cease and desist from rumour mongering and prove his accusations. He reminded him that “There are many like you who came before you and many will come after you,” to which Justus retorted that there are similarly so many other tycoons just like Sudhir.
He further accused him of worshipping idols in reference to his Buddhist religion as can be evidenced by the Buddhist statue at the entrance to the Crane Bank headquarters and crowned the night by wishing the “earthly tycoon” a good night which this reporter doubts any of the two managed to have in light of their social media altercation.
It is however unclear whether the Sudhir Facebook account is authentic but for now all indications are that it is.
