Victoria University has added new study programs that are expected to commence this year, next September semester.
Among the newly introduced programs is a Bachelor of Pharmacy and a Bachelor of doctor of pharmacy.
The development was announced by Doctor Nwanna Kevin, the Dean of Faculty of Health Sciences at Victoria University.
“I bring you good news that we are launching new programs in the faculty of health sciences come next intake in September and part of those programs is the Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy with an extension to a Doctorate degrees in pharmacy,” Dr Nwanna said.
Doctor Nwanna said the Bachelor of Doctor of Pharmacy is not a doctorate (PhD). This doctor of pharmacy will have an extension of a year in comparison to the Bachelor of pharmacy which will take approximately 5 years.
He said the doctor of pharmacy will be a combination of deeper treatment and dispensation unlike the bachelor of pharmacy that majorly focuses on the latter.
The new programs will commence in September 2022 as Victoria University opens up for a new semester.
