A wise man once said, “What man can do, man can do.” I can now with all the strength in the eco system, say I totally agree. After a video of an Asian girl-child; singing ‘Want To Want Me’, with American R’n’B singer, Jason Derulo in an online collaboration went viral, an elite fellow, Mr. Francis Ssali, also resolved to take the challenge.
In the video herein, the lecturer at Makerere University’s College of Engineering, Design And Technology(CEDAT), can be heard singing, “Swallallallaaa…” along to Jason Derulo’s hit song.
Actually, to spill the beans, the duet is made by an app called ‘Sing! Karaoke’, produced by American company: Smule. The app allows musicians to record videos singing one half of a duet, leaving space for fans to record their own contributions then share the results online.
Smule gives the ‘almost real’ experience at £2.29 a week, £5.99 a month or £29.99 a year(no need to convert since you can’t pay in shillings. Lol) for unlimited access to its apps’ catalogue of music. Artistes like Jason Derulo of ‘Wiggle Wiggle’, and Jessie J of ‘Flashlight’ have their work in the app’s database.
So those of you that have watched this video and thought the lecturer had made it in life, you most probably can sing even better than him. So hit your app store and ‘kick some ass’!
