A student believed to be a resident of lumumba hall has left colleagues cursing after blocking their lecture.
The yet to be identified student chased students that had come to attend a lecture at Lumumba hall reading room, threatening to beat both lecturer and students if they don’t see the exit.
The students had come to attend to their lecture for comparative theatre, one of the course unit done by drama students.
According to Titi Kankunda, an eye witness to the incident and a member of the affected class, the student forestall their lecture with an excuse that he wanted to use the room for discussion.
Titi alleges that the student in question claimed he wanted to discuss with a friend, and that the reading room is meant for lumumba hall residents.

Kankunda further alleges that the student took away a phone of a classmate and promised to follow her up for one good beating.
The Bee was in position to confirm that the student is a resident of lumumba hall. However, we weren’t in position to get a comment from him about the incident.
Makerere University students often attend lectures from reading and dinning rooms of some of the halls of residences.
This is due to the overwhelming population that cannot fit in the available space at the different colleges thus need to put some of the hall facilities to use.
