Ankunda Patience, a Uganda Christian University (UCU) student pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science is defeating lockdown poverty by selling online fitness programs. In an interview with Campus Bee, Ankunda disclosed that she was inspired by her own fitness journey (which was on and off) to kick off a hustle that would transform people’s lives, as far as fitness is concerned.
Ankunda, who happens to be the CEO of African Fit revealed that she uses her company as an online platform to inspire other people to live a healthy lifestyle.
“I use African Fit as a Platform to inspire individuals into living a healthy lifestyle. I also use the platform to educate people on how to live a healthy lifestyle without extreme measures such as tea, starvation and all those quick fixes that you know.” Ankunda told Campus Bee.
Ankunda is offering online fitness programs which involve home workout with no equipment. The programs come with demonstration videos, a Whatsapp community for extra motivation, nutrition classes, among other services.
In a bid to motivate individuals to meet their workout goals, Ankunda has set up online fitness challenges after which excellent participants walk away with gifts.
Just like any other business, African Fit is faced with a number of challenges but Ankunda explained that she is determined to expand her brand to the East African level.
