Campus Bee is in possession of a video of a one Birungi Margaret a resident of Manyago, Entebbe who allegedly claims she was on 28th/February/2016 knocked down by a drunk driver in a speeding Kampala International University van number UAJ 860U in Entebbe around Mayor’s Gardens, Entebbe road while riding on a bodaboda number UDX 094U.
“We reported the case to Ggaba police, who charged the man for drunk driving and not knocking me, it’s obvious they (police) were bribed, can you imagine the guy had no driving permit? But he was still released,” explained Birungi.
As you will see in the video, Birungi was tractioned but due to lack of proper wound care which she attributes to lack of money since she’s now jobless following the accident, she’s rotting away and needs immediate help as she says her and her family have failed to get Justice because they’re poor.
“I’ve currently spent around shs60m on my treatment but all in vain, I want you people to help me attain my justice and also get treated,” Birungi pleaded with the reporter off camera.
Efforts to get a word from the University in question were fruitless as no one was willing to talk about the issue.
