Mrs. Jackqueline Sebunya, a water vendor and resident of Wabigalo in Kibuli, a Kampala suburb became the first winner of a brand new Boda Boda in the just launched Africell Uganda’s Load and Ride  promotion.

The Africell Load And Ride promotion seeks to engage and reward loyal Africell subscribers with Brand New Boda Bodas. The mechanics of the promotion are simply that every time a customer loads airtime worth UGX 5,000, they are automatically entered into a draw to win a brand new motorbike. The more entries one has, the more their chances of winning.

Mrs. Sebunya Jackie, the first winner of the promotion is a vendor of water in Wabigalo upper zone where she sells a jerrycan of tap water for 150/= to her neighbours and community. She averagely earns around 300,000/= from this business and she also complements it with making pancakes and doughnuts which she gives to her children to help her distribute and sell in in Wabigalo.

‘I am so excited with this new motorbike that I have won from Africell. I pray the Lord blesses Africell for their generous heart. I am definitely going to start a new business which will improve the life of my family plus also ease the cost of transportation that I have been incurring.’ Jackie said after being called by the Africell marketing team about her winning. Like so many people who have been scammed by fraudsters, Jackie did not believe when she was first called by the Africell marketing team. She confessed that she thought that it was a scam by smart conmen. However the Africell marketing team persisted and allayed her fears asking her to come to the head office in clement hill where she would see that it is real. Needless to say, she took the step of faith and the rest is pleasant history. Following a complete transfer of ownership for the motorbike, a happy Jackie took her bike on 16th December 2020 to begin a new journey with a better chance of making it.

Speaking at the hand over the Africell Uganda the Public Relations Officer, Mr. Edgar Karamagi said “I am so glad and happy to see that we are changing the lives of Ugandans. Jackie epitomizes our basic intent in beginning this promotion. We sought to put the harshness of 2020 behind us, even for a little while, as we reward the men and women who have supported us through this time. I encourage those on the sidelines, who think that this is not real to take a chance and participate in this promotion.  Any loading of airtime worth 5000/= automatically enters you into the draw. The more purchases one makes, the more the chances of them winning big” The Africell Load and Ride promotion has been running since 1st December and will be ending on the 1st January 2021 when the last draw will be made.

Africell Uganda is known for providing affordable Data and Voice prices on the market. Africell customers enjoy exciting offers like the W3 & the Hakuna Matata bundles which give huge data loads for very affordable spend.
