Kyambogo University Vice Chancellor, Prof. Eli Katunguka, has addressed the ongoing unrest regarding the alleged tuition hike, firmly stating that there was no 50% increase in tuition fees as claimed by Guild President Mr. Mwebesa Reagan.
In his latest update on X, Prof. Katunguka clarified that only moderate increments were made, specifically within the School of Management and Entrepreneurship and one program in Social Sciences.
Prof. Katunguka emphasized, “This is to inform all Kyambogo University stakeholders that there was no 50% increment in tuition fees as alleged by the Guild President Mr. Mwebesa Reagan.”
He further elaborated that the adjustments were moderate and necessary to maintain the quality of education and support the introduction of new programs.
Highlighting Kyambogo University’s affordability, Prof. Katunguka pointed out, “Be informed that the university charges the least fees compared to other institutions.”
