New details have emerged regarding the death of Racheal Ainembabazi Buturo, the daughter of former minister Nsaba Buturo, with family sources confirming that she died as a result of a blood clot, after initially complaining of what appeared to be a migraine.
Racheal, a Marketing Assistant at Housing Finance Bank, is said to have fallen ill earlier with severe headache symptoms that were first thought to be a migraine. Further medical assessment later revealed the condition to be a blood clot, which proved fatal.
The revelation has deepened the shock surrounding her sudden passing, with many describing her death as unexpected and devastating.
Housing Finance Bank, where Racheal worked at the Head Office in Kololo, has described her as a bright, hardworking and collaborative young professional whose loss has left a big gap within the institution. She joined the bank in July 2024.
Racheal was the daughter of Nsaba Buturo, a former cabinet minister and long-serving public servant. Her death has drawn condolences from political leaders, colleagues, friends and members of the public.
The family has announced the following burial arrangements:
- 🕯️ Vigil: Mutungo – December 17, from 6:00pm
- ⛪ Funeral Service: Bugolobi Church of Uganda – December 18, at 3:00pm
- ⚰️ Burial: Kisoro District – Saturday, December 20, at 12:00pm
