After the recent situation that happened where three students were confined by a Nigerian man who had called her girlfriend, veteran journalist Andrew Mwenda has come out to air out his opinion about the matter.
The Nigerian had met the alleged girlfriend just 5 days back but she came along with two other friends on Saturday last weekend. He held them for over 10 hours after removing all their phones from them but one of the girls had carried an extra phone with her and its what they used to call their colleagues who contacted police and came to the rescue.
Mwenda said he was too surprised about how a man could call her girlfriend who he had met within 5 days home and she even comes along with two other friends. In his own words he said “I didn’t know that it takes only five days to bring three Makerere University Business School female students home for an evening. They are already using 5G love speed when many of us are still struggling with 2G.”
He delivered the message through one of his social media platforms. It is advisable for the young youths especially those at campus to be cautious about the people they associate with and not to love anyone they find just because they can afford to buy them what they want but instead take their time to understand what’s best for them.
Earlier this year, there were two girls’ bodies found dead in one of the rentals around Mengo and anyone can be the next to be affected by the same situation.
