A female student of Kampala International University (KIU) – Western Campus identified as Darmi Guyo Chari has reportedly been kidnapped.
A source at the institution, who preferred anonymity, told Campus Bee that the kidnapping incident happened Sunday at the university hostel, when the victim was reportedly taken in a car – number plate UAV 861D.
The latest claims show that the prime suspect behind the kidnapping incident is a one Jakson Toto Obindi, whose car, registered under the aforementioned number plate, was last seen in Arua City.
Further reports suggest that Obindi is a boyfriend to the victim.
The yet-to-be discovered victim is an Ethiopian national who is pursuing Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) at the western-based campus of KIU.
