As we count down few hours to the closure of the Miss World online voting, a Makerere University Business School (MUBS) finalist who also doubles as the current Miss Uganda is likely to be disqualified from the race following her low number of votes.
Quinn Abenakyo, the 2018/19 Miss Uganda is battling alongside other beauty queens in a head to head competition as they fight to make it to the next round. Abenakyo has so far accumulated about 0.04% of the votes in a race where Mongolia has got 11.55%, Vietnam (8.51%) and India (7.61%) as the top competitors.
The competition also features other beauty queens from Hong Kong, Guinea Bissau, Argentina, Guadeloupe, Turkey, Tanzania, South Africa among others. According to the online vote manual, the competition ends today.
The Miss World 2018 ceremony will be held in Sanya, China come Saturday 8th December. A beauty queen from Japan who is yet to be identified has already been declared Miss World Talent.
