A YMCA student has received a two-year sentence from the Magistrate’s Court at Buganda road after he was found guilty of stalking Sylvia Rwabogo, the Woman Member of Parliament for Kabarole district.
The female legislator while in tears told the court that at first instance she thought the calls were from one of her constituents but later the calls became so frequent and weird with love confessions. One of the texts read, “I love you so much … My love is for you alone…”
In a confession, Brian Isiko confirmed that he was the one behind the mysterious phone calls to the woman MP and pleaded guilty to the charges of Cyber Harassment and Offensive Communication and added that he had hoped to create a friendship with the legislator and had no ulterior motives.
