ICT innovators across all major universities and learning institutions across Uganda are expected to showcase tomorrow at the Uganda Institute of Information and Communications Technology (UICT) Grounds in Nakawa during the 2019 inaugural ICT Expo.
Innovators across all fields of health, agriculture among other sectors are expected to unveil and showcase groundbreaking innovation that has improved life and livelihood or hopes to.
The Expo is a one day event and is organised by the Ministry of ICT and National Guidance alongside the Uganda Communications Commission (UCC).
“The Chief Guest will be H.E. the President of the Republic of Uganda and the function will be attended by the Rt. Hon. Prime Minister, Cabinet Ministers, Government Officials, Development Partners, Academia, Private Sector, Civil Society, Innovators, Innovation Hubs, Venture Capitalists.” The organisers said in a statement.
This year’s theme is accelerating investment in digital innovation and it aims at encouraging the creation of inclusive and sustainable wealth, employment, development and growth.
