“Rosemary Nankabirwa has been pulled off life support. Her family has confirmed that she has passed on. May her soul rest in peace.”
This tweet by NTV Uganda still lingers in the minds many. The later’s former employee had go already gone to be with the Lord. It broke many hearts.
Rosemary Nankabirwa died on Sunday afternoon at Agakhan Hospital, Kenya, where she was set to undergo an operation. The public, through NTV, had collected the shs100 million that was needed for her operation. This money was raised by a car wash fundraiser that saw many kind hearted souls flock Serena Hotel to raise this money to save Rosemary. Little did they know God had other plans for her. It is heart breaking!
The 35-year-old news anchor inspired many female journalism students. “Her articulation, confidence and smartness was admirable. The smile she put on while reading the news was evident that she had passion for it. I will always look up to her,” said Christine Ayabazibwe, a second year mass communication student at Nkumba University. Below are some of the condolences by Ugandan youth on twitter;
