As the name of the organization sounds, Zakat house is an Islamic charity organization that has been funding quite a number of students from this great institution with funds from the Muslim community worldwide for a long time now.
According to the University academic registrar Mr. Kasiita Musa, the organization has abruptly stopped its funding towards the beneficiaries, when asked why, he said he had no idea but the University would try contacting the organization to seek for the reinstation of this fund, until then all students (beneficiaries) are advised to cater for all their university dues with effect from this starting semester!
