Top labour exporters, Middle East Consultants Limited (MECL) yesterday flagged off 91 people to go and work abroad in one of the biggest Oil and Gas company in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates (UAE).
The 91 will get a salary of UGX 1.6m per month and guaranteed extra pay on overtime work on top of free accommodation, meals and medical insurance as well as a free return ticket after the completion of a two year contract.
Flagging off the workers, Managing Director of Middle East Consultants Limited Mr. Gordon Mugyenyi warned workers to be extra careful and work for the betterment of their lives.
“You exercise highest degree of discipline because it is key. Behave well and protect the name of our country Uganda. Learn money manners like how to save and have money discipline rather spending it on Facebook girls,” he said.
He advised them to market the Middle East company to their and call on them to join and work in UAE. “Don’t let your friends suffer, tell them about this company and tell them to also apply, we shall help them out.”
He also cautioned them to always remember the people they have left behind especially their wives and parents and not to go and get excited about their new statuses over their beloved ones back home.
According to Mugyenyi , the 91 who left Uganda yesterday are part of the order secured by the company to supply 400 for the same jobs in Abudhabi and interviews and registration are still ongoing for the remaining 309.
He called upon parents to send in their children for registration so that they can use the available chance to save them from the problem of unemployment.
