As the date for the 10th edition of the popular Blankets and Wine Kampala draws closer, university students, especially the babes are making endless calls to their ‘sponsors’ jazzing them about the Sunday plot.
“Most campo babes, who just want to impress their Instagram followers are desperate for tickets calling whoever cares to send them a few dimes as they are busy collecting shs80,000 (ticket price for the picnic),” Frizzy, a student at UCU told the buzzing Bee.
Campusbee has also learnt that some sharp students are calling home asking their naive unsuspecting peros (read parents) for dimes for ‘SnapChat” coursework. Trust the 21st century kid for coming up with whatever excuse to squeeze dimes out of their peros.
The picnic-style event will be held at its proverbial home, the Uganda Museum grounds this Sunday, September 27th, 2015 and organizers have promised an even bigger celebration to commemorate the 10th edition.
Singing predominantly in her native Zulu and in English, Zahara, a South African celebrated artiste will headline this 10th edition.
