Does it bug you to first cram and then type some long USSD code when buying airtime or bundles? USSD codes are those digits you dial when buying airtime, checking airtime balance or buying a data bundles.
Well, say no more because Vodafone just delivered you from pain. You are probably that cool campuser who has an app for everything and cramming something like *133*9*1# isn’t something you want to add to the notes you have been reading.
Vodafone is going to launch the My Vodafone app for all Vodafone subscribers which bundles all services related to the number of your phone or MiFi. Am pretty sure very few people know the number of their MiFis but it is important to track your data usage.
The first thing you will notice when you open the app is its beauty. Being a data based network, the app shows you a large circle which represents your data usage. Of course there is a nice greeting which shows your name.
Most importantly here is what you can do with the My Vodafone App; you can view your airtime balance, data balance, top up bundles, send airtime to a friend, buy data for a friend. But that’s not all, the app is smart enough to recommend bundles based on the airtime balance you have left and recently purchased bundles.
The app also has a very detailed breakdown of how you use your data such as time of usage, duration and expiry. You need this data to better understand how you are spending your money.
It will even show you all service centres and directions to them. There are little icons showing which ones are open or closed.
Generally, with the MyVodafone app you no longer need to struggle with complicated codes and numbers to make transactions on your Vodafone number. The My Vodafone app for Uganda are available on the Google Playstore, Apple Appstore and Windows store.
