City transportation has got bigger and better after Taxify announced the lowest prices in the safer and more comfortable transport sector around town.
The new rates in Kampala for Taxify Standard have been subsidised by upto 25% off and a whooping 50% off on Taxify Boda.
Taxify is an Estonian Internation Transportation Company that recently launched in Uganda. It is operated on the Taxify mobile application where people can order rides on their smartphones.
Thanks to them, a ride from Bugolobi to Naalya would now cost you just shs. 9300 on Taxify Standard and just shs. 5100 on Taxify Boda. Can it get any better?

Taxify operates their app, which enables people to hail rides from their smartphones. Taxify’s application is available for Android, iOS and Windows Phone and users must choose a payment method: cash, credit card or mobile carrier billing before they can use the service.“While lowering the prices, we’ll be compensating our drivers with bonuses, to compensate the difference. Our focus is to provide drivers with better revenue per ride and keeping them happy with earnings and support we provide, which leads to ultimately better service for clients,” they said in a press statement.
Ultimately, both sides win with Taxify.
The customer requests a ride and confirms their pick-up location. Once the driver accepts the trip, the customer will be able to see the driver’s name and car details. After the ride is completed both driver and the rider can rate each other.
