Once a leader, always a leader. A legit leader is always seen through the way he reasons and articulates his words while talking to his subjects, that is the true likeliness of a One Murungi Asinani, who just completed his degree at Makerere University Business School.
Murungi Asinani the ex-Vice Guild President in the Yoram Banyenzaki 2014/15 government is vying for a seat as MP Masindi Municipality come 2016 polls. MUBS is known to produce one of the finest leaders with a blend of business and politics all in one lot.
Today, we trail the Nakawa based University and find one of its very own who has been widely loved by the Masindi people that he believes he will represent in parliament come 2016. While still a Juvenile, he received a vision from a Pastor who prophesized that he will be a great leader someday and today, the sole reason he rides high and optimistic is because of that prophecy.
After being granted a municipality, Asinani believes now is the time for him to fulfill the demand of his people that have relentlessly supported him and have beseeched him to go ahead and stand for Member of Parliament. So solely on the mandate of the people, he is optimistic that he will be MP. Starting off, Murungi Asinani is not new to the world of Politics and he has been an innovative leader of sorts starting up as many leadership programs s possible.
He was a Chief Fresher while in his first year, a post he made influential during his reign and saw him participate in the amendment of the university constitution. He was speaker of the Old Students Association and when it clocked 2013, he was nominated off-campus GRC coming off as strong candidate in the Acak Pascquin ( the 2012/2013 guild President) government. Asinani played a big role in the bringing of Yoram Banyenzaki to power and he believes that was only possible because of the mobilization charisma he posses and was awarded the post of Vice-Guild President.
Off to his roots and targets, he has managed to vigorously mobilize people of all walks of life in his area and thus believes that they will be the reason he becomes MP come 2016. Because of the different confusion in the FDC camp, a skeptical Asinani is contemplating on whether to come on as independent or stick to his party FDC.
With many individuals willing to support him financially, he is aware of the fact that winning is the only assured way of rewarding them back and continues to call upon for the support of the youth because “they are the people he is spear heading.”
In a jovial and determined tone, Asinani told Campusbee that not being wealthy will stop him, not being in NRM will stop him because he was born and nurtured in the areas of Masindi and knows all corners. “Come 2016, I will be MP Masindi Municipality”, stressed Asinani.
Campusbee has got the tabs wide awake and wishes you the best in the forthcoming polls.
