Seth Akampa , a student from the Faculty of Law at Bishop Stuart University (BSU) bagged a gold medal at the FISU World University Cross Country Championship (2024) held in Oman, Muscat – Middle East from 15th to 19th February 2024.
He raised the country’s flag highest after completing the Men’s 10km race second to none.
The talented athlete was part of team Uganda together with Barnabas Mugume, Marvelous Orishaba and Peter Akemkwene as competitors.
Makerere’s Peninnah Kabenge was the team patron alongside Patrick Ssebuliba (Team Manager) and Coach Paul Okello.
Seth’s latest triumph is addition to his already promising career comprised by other notable victories including;
- Winning Gold in the Mens 10k & Silver in the 5k at the University Games – Uganda
- Winning Silver in 10k & 5k at the University Games – East Africa.
- Participating at the 31st Chengdu 2021 FISU World University Games
