Ahead of Nkumba’s University Football League (UFL) quarter final second leg match against Kyambogo, a large portion of the battling might take place off, rather than on the pitch.
This comes after KYU fans gave their NKU counterparts a not-so-welcoming attitude when the two sides met last week for the first leg in Kyambogo.
“Those guys burnt our beloved gowns and threatened to beat us and our players,” one NKU student narrated. “We’ll wait for them to come to Nkumba and return the favour,” he added.
To make sure the KYU act wasn’t forgotten, NKU fans collected and transported the gown ashes back home and have since become some sort of “trigger for anger”.
NKU fans aren’t new to conflict as they have been able to punish MAK and MUBS fans on their visits.
For the case of Kyambogo, an away goal is a must for them if they are to stand a chance of going into the semis. The game in Kyambogo ended 1-1, What’s your prediction for this one?
