The Islamic University in Uganda (IUIU) is among the universities participating in the All Africa University Games (FASU) 2022 in Nairobi, Kenya.
Esodoit Jimmy, a third-year student pursuing a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) is representing the Islamic University in Uganda at the ongoing prestigious event.
Jimmy told Campus Bee that he is representing the university in Taekwondo and promises to make the university and the country proud.
“Well for taekwondo, today is weighing in, and the games are tomorrow, and I promise IUIU family and Uganda the best because I worked so hard to be here and let them just expect the best from me,” he says.
The 10th edition of the All Africa University Games taking place at Kenyatta University brings together various universities all over Africa, in various games such as Swimming, Football, Basketball, Handball, Athletics, Karate, and Taekwondo.
The University Sports Lecturer Mr. Kebba Haruna is leading the IUIU team at the prestigious event.
The All Africa University Games brings together Africa’s top university athletes to compete for prestigious continental university athlete titles.
Having been postponement in 2020, over 4000 athletes are expected to compete at the 10th edition of the Games, from June 6-10 2022.
