Jomo Kenyatta University has been selected to hold this year’s East Africa University games (EAUGs) that will take place in December.
The organizing committee for this 8th EAUGs has now advised different sports departments in various universities to clear the requirements of their teams like processing passports and other relevant documents.
However, the one-time defending champions, Ndejje University, seem to have a lot to do if they are to take take this trophy one again, since many universities in Uganda, Kenya, Rwanda, Burundi, Kenya are showing much interest.
The drafted time table for the games and activities preceding the event as below is as follows
- Friday 28th October – entry of participating teams
- Monday 31st October – deadline for submission of documents fro
participating teams
Monday 14th Novembe r- payments of participating teams - Friday 2nd December – release of fixtures by the technical committee
- Thursday 15th December – arrival of teams at Jomo Kenyatta University
of Agriculture & Technology. - Friday 16th December – opening ceremony and commencement of games
- Tuesday 20th December – closing ceremony and end of the EAUGS
- Wednesday 21st December – departure of teams from sports village.
